The departure date....

Your life is like a mist. You can see it for a short time, but then it goes away. James 4:14 (NCV)You, as all God's children, live one final breath from your own funeral. Which, from God's perspective, is nothing to grieve. He responds to these grave facts with this great news:

"The day you die is better than the day you are born" (Eccles. 7:1 NLT).

Now there is a twist. Heaven enjoys a maternity ward reaction to funerals. Angels watch body burials the same way grandparents monitor delivery room doors. He'll be coming through any minute! They can't wait to see the new arrival. While we're driving hearses and wearing black, they're hanging pink and blue streamers. We don't grieve when babies enter the world. The hosts of heaven don't weep when we leave it.

As long as you know the savior...Just believe.

IT'S TERMINAL...

What you might ask is terminal...no I did not get a bad diagnosis. What is terminal? This life we live...NO ONE WILL GET OUT ALIVE! So you need to ask yourself...what is next. If you are not sure then ask God to reveal himself to you. He will...oh you may not get thunder and a vision..but I promise you, He will reveal himself to you. Just open up your spirit and listen, and then be ready to be amazed!

SCHOOL'S OUT!

Well tomorrow is a wonderful day for a lunch lady...the last day of school. I love it. It is the beginning of summer and I feel like a teenager ready for fun. Well almost. Had a great weekend for memorial day...worked hard Sat. on our bedroom. Painted all day and felt like I was working on a Jay-Lo butt from going up and down the ladder. But nothing makes you feel as good as working hard and seeing the results. Then had a lovely rainy day here in the west with thunder storms. It is a rare thing here, so when we get them we love them. Hope you all had a great weekend. Love you guys...will write more later.....

What did she call me?

Ok...here is a little story from my past. We lived in Maryland when I was 17, we meaning my mom and my one sister Nell her child Gearlynne who was 3 at the time, and my 2 brothers. MY mom's mother lived one flight of stairs up from us. So here it was Halloween and I was all excited about taking Gearlynne for her first trick or treat adventure. Oh my.. did it ever turn into an adventure. Well we got her a little witch outfit and she was so cute. I had told her all the fun she was going to have and got her all pumped up about it (actually I think I was more pumped then she was) oh well....so time to go trick or treating...and the door bell rings. I was all ..."oh boy here are the first trick or treaters...lets give em some candy. So I opened the door and there was the cutest bunch of hob gobblins you ever did see...that is if you are 17, cause the three year old did not think so. She just stood there with this look of horror on her face and no matter how hard I tried she did not see the fun in it. Scared the snot out of her..Well that was the end of that! She refused to go out of the house. She was convinced the gobblin's were waiting to eat her. So my mom and my sister Nell just got real bored and I thought well why don't I put the witch suit on and go up to mammy's house and see if she will give me some candy. I know, I know...it was kinda mean on our part, but you have to understand...we were all pumped up for fun and it fell thru with Gearlynne so we had to do something so the evening would not be a total a waste.
Well let me give you a little background on dear ole Mammy...she had this thing about teenagers or even bigger kids trick or treating. She just thought it was awful. So I put on the mask and I go up to her door...Mom and Nell watched from our door...they could see everything thru a reflection in a big window in the stairwell.. I rang the door bell and just wait. She answers the door. There she is just standing there with her big ole bowl full of candy in her arms and that's it, she just stands there...stareing at me...looking me up and down. Now it took everything in me not to wet my pants. I was trying so hard not to laugh. After what seemed to be a year of her stareing at me..I finally said "well arn't you gonna give me some candy lady?" and then she knew it was me and called me a "B&*%$" and slamed the door in my face. I don't think she saw the humor in it like we did. We all cracked up laughing and it took me several days of visiting before she forgave me. And by the way I never did get any candy. Oh woa is me. Have a good one.

I was sure by now

That You would have reached down

And wiped our tears away

Stepped in and saved the day

But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls

I barely hear You whisper through the rain"I'm with you"

And as Your mercy falls

I raise my hands and praise the God who gives

And takes away

The new layout

Oh well anin"t this new layout cute. My crazy neice redid it and it is really cute...oh sorry...I promised her I would stop with the dot dot dot's...oh sorry...old habits die hard. There I did it a period at the end. See I am not hopeless. And yes the picture of the lunch lady is my older sista, she is so hot. Not really my sista's lunch lady picture is so much funnier. Ok I gotta do it. Here it is the real lunch lady picture. Yes we are really hot. .... with all those oven's on it gets absolutely miserable in the kitchen....chow

Never mind which one is me...They made me do it!

My Crazy Niece...

Okay, I have this crazy niece who is a lot like me. She lives down south and she is a total control freak. Again, just like me. She is gonna come and make my blog a lot more beautiful, so I'm excited about that.
One of my sisters, who lives with her thinks I have nothing but grass growing to talk about. Boy, she doesn't know me at all. Hee, hee, hee, you'll see my pretty.
Like I said, I have lots of dysfunctional family members. For starters, take a look at this photo that my great brother put Billy D Williams moustaches on everyone. He's moustache is real and he's just the beginning of the story.
Okay Tina, do your thing. Love ya!

Hey Y'a'll...

Hey, did you ever wonder why people blog? I'm so new at it that I just had to write something again. So here goes...
Have you been wondering why all the weather and stuff is getting crazy?

Spooky huh? Tornadoes, earthquakes, typhoons. It seems the world has gone bonkers...more on this later .......

My first day...

Here I am, blogging. I've never done this before and have no idea why I'm even bothering. I guess I'm bored. That I'm sure of.
I came home from work today to find that my husband is not here and did not leave a note. Yep, he's gonna get an earful when he swaggers in the house.
Why? I'm not sure, cause when he ain't here, I can pretty much relax and do nothing. When he is here....well, lets just say, I have other things to do., So I guess I should just get over the No note thing and enjoy the quiet time.
This is kinda fun, gettings things off your chest. The only thing is I can't type....but no way around that.
See ya's...will blog later. Chow.
