Uncle Jay...

Today I think I will share a little about my up bringing. When I was around 12 or 13, my brother Johnny was 2 years older. We lived in some apt's in Maryland...yes I was born in Nashville lived there till I was 11 and went to live with my mom till I was 18 and hit Idaho. So back to the story...we did not have much entertainment, you know like the kids do today..so we had to do with what was at hand. And that would be our uncle Jay. Wonderful funny man. He was always drunk or at least half way drunk. Not sure if he was funny when he was sober, cause I don't think he came over much when he was sober. Now he was the type that would show up at 3 in the morning and come into your bedroom and pull the covers off your bed and scream " get up" and then stick a dead duck in your face. One time he filled the bath tub up with dead fish and my sister Nell got up to take a shower and pulled the shower curtain back and screamed like she was in the psycho movie. I'm telling ya the man was crazy. Ok. so the reason I gave you that back ground is so you would think what we did to him was not so bad. After all my brother and I were bored. Him and my mom where sitting at the dining room table getting snockered. So I told johnny I think I can crawl under the table without him noticing and tie his shoe laces together..he had his leg's crossed. Well Johnny was all for it. So I did just that and he never moved just kept on talking and laughing with my mom. So johnny and me just sat back and watched and waited for the potty break that was eventually going to come around. So finally he tried to uncross his legs and he kept fidgeting and was not saying anything. We were trying not to laugh and pee our pants. The looks on his face were priceless. Now remember he was drunk. This would not have worked on a sober person. But Jay could not figure out why his legs weren't working. My mom said Jay are you alright? What is the matter with you? At that point we could not hold it in any longer we burst out laughing. He was so relieve his legs were working right that he forgave me. Oh man do I ever miss those fun times. I have more stories I will share later...

I Believe...

I Believe...

That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...

That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I Believe...

That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe..

That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love. I Believe...

That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe...

That it' s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I Believe...

That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe...

That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe...

That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe...

That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe...

That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I Believe...

That my best friend and I can do anything, or nothing, and have the best time.

I Believe..

That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe..

That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe...

That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe...

That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe...

That our background and circumstances may have in f luenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe...

That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life Forever.

I Believe...

Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I Believe...

That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you. IBelieve...

That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...

That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...

That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

I Believe...

'The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything.'

I Believe.....

in Jesus, I hope you do too.

Easy dry flower's

Ok I use to dry flowers by hanging them up side down in a dark closet...but then they came out shriveled up and not real pretty...Well I have found a new way. These flowers are from Mother's day and other places and I
put them in regular ole Borax from walmart...
that's right...just cover them in a bowl with Borax
and leave them for about 2 weeks and this is what you get.
The white one' s in the basket are lylacs...this is the first
time I ever dried lylacs...now I am a dry flower addict.
I am even having to keep myself from taking pretty flowers
from yard's...it is so tempting...Just kidding..hope you try it
and enjoy!

He'll give you peace...

Ok that was weird..

Ok here we are at the husband's family reunion and it was friday nite...we were all sitting around visiting. Lot's of out of towners were staying with my in-law's. My husband's dad is in his 80's and the week before this reunion he gets pneumonia and is in the hospital for a few day's and is sent home with oxygen. He is sitting at the table when an old friend of the family decides to come over and do some LOUD visiting. I mean you could of sat out side and heard him. Well we all accommodated him for about 30 minutes when we had finally decided we all needed a rope to hang ourselves. I got up and decided now would be a good time to go outside and have a break from freaky friend..and so did alot of other's in the room. Well I guess dad decided he had heard enough and kept trying to get a word in edge wise, and couldn't . So dad blurt's out from across the room after adjusting his oxygen (or so my hubby tell's me ,cause I was still outside when the excitement took place) Hey bud...your horning in on our family time and I am going to have to ask you to leave. Dead silence hit the room....everyone froze, except bud...he got up and flew out the door...my husband jumps up behind him and trys to catch up with him so as to try and smooth things over but that guy was flying. My hubby talked to him but he just ignored him and was out of there.

I came in and he was gone and I thought he just left but then I started hearing all the whispering then we all got to laughing and it was a weird time. So the rest of the weekend was all of saying things like don't talk too long or dad just might ask you to leave. So dad asked Dan " do you think I handled that wrong?" Dan just said Dad it's your house. I mean man if you can't take the hint when most of the people in the room are venturing outside then maybe you just need a brick on the head. Other wise we had fun playing cards and lots of eating and laughing...so that is where I was all weekend. My husband say's after it's all over if I ever say reunion again..SHOOT ME. I said no problem.
